GO GREEN with words

This challenge is a simple continuation of the last one. Use Twitter, Facebook and/or other platforms to share our pictures and quotes with the world! You don't have to use the pictures on our homepage, of course, you could just make new ones if you want. The idea is to show everyone our efforsts and at the same time show them how powerful words can be!
Furthermore, we want to use this week to provide our follower and friends with GO GREEN tips. What kind of tips do you know and want to share? Do you have any interesting and informative links?
If you want to share your tips, pictures or quotes:
- via Twitter, please add #GenerationChange & the link of our project page if possible
- via other platforms, please copy the link: http://www.generationchange.org/?q=node/55
- If you follow each other on Twitter, please retweet! Maybe we can fill another persons timeline with our tweets? That would be a cool screenshot, wouldn't it be?
- Since some of the pictures are rather small and the quote is hard to read: please copy the text in your tweets/posts.
1000 words
We all know it. That moment where a picture says more than a 1000 words. That emotion when a quote or sentence touches you and makes you feel. How do you think it would make others feel to see such a combination of pictures and words? Let's find out!!
Combine your favorite quote or text with a picture YOU took of animals or nature that portrays the meaning you want other peoples to show!
How you do it is up to you. You can take a photo or you can draw a picture.
You can put the quote on top of it or in the center of it. Be creative!
Important: Tell us the source of your quote or text (Who said it? Which book/story/etc is ist from?) !!

Because I love you
Do you have a pet or know an animal you spend lots of time with? If so, then this project is something for you! This week, you are going to spoil your pet! Cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles or other animals... Spoil them, show them your love and have fun with it! Show us with pictures what makes your cat purr and/or how your pet enjoys your treatment!
- Do you know what kind of tidbits your pet likes?
- Does your pet love toys or does he/she simply enjoy playing with you?
- Does your pet melt if you take the time to really cuddle with her/him?

Before & After
This challenge will be a photo challenge. With "Before & After" pictures, we want you to visualize in how far the topic of environmental protection is a part of our lives (or not?) and how people in your area are interested in and take care of the environment. The idea is for you to use the following week and take photos (iPhone, cell phone, camera) of negative AND positive situations and if possible change the negative for the better.
- You see waste lying around on the streets? If possbile, throw away the trash and take a before/after picture.
- cramped garbage cans vs. garbage cans for recycled trash
- Is there something your town is doing that not every town does in regard to environmental protection?

Wintertime for the Birds
To help get birds through the winter a little easier.
- There are birdseeds available in pet shops.
