Vanessa Farquharson used to be an ordinary journalist, living in Toronto, Canada. She was writing film reviews, artist profiles, food features, travel stories and more for the Canadian National Post and just lived her life. And then she decided to make a change. One day Vanessa made the decision to become as green as a thistle, to take an exciting, yet sometimes hard journey into green life. And so she started into a year of green changes, altogether 366 (366 because the poor girl did choose a leap year).

Celebrate an eco-friendly Christmas

Published by Generation Change on Thu, 12/08/2011 - 00:00 in

It's Christmas time and you want to enjoy your Christmas in an eco-friendly way?
We can show you how! Here you can find some helpful suggestions.

  • Buy or rent a living Christmas tree (which are delivered in a pot).
That way you can reuse the tree for a couple of years.
  • If you buy a cutover Christmas tree, you can put it in your garden after Christmas and
use it as an animal feeder and sanctuary for birds and other animals.
